The agreement between you and Arkly. The part that matters most is the first section, and it is short.

1. Agreeing to these terms

Using Arkly means you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use the app. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 13.

2. What Arkly is, and what it is not

Arkly builds care routines, keeps records, and gives you a read on photographs you take. It is an organisational and informational tool for pet owners.

It is not a veterinary service, a diagnosis, a prescription, or an emergency service. The breed identification is a suggestion you can correct. Health check results describe what is visible in one photograph and nothing more. Extracted vaccine and medication dates are drafts until you confirm them, and we deliberately do not act on them before you do.

You are responsible for your animal's care and for the decisions you make about it.

3. Your account and your household

You sign in with Apple; there is no password for us to lose. Keep your device and those accounts secure, because whoever holds them holds your account.

Pets belong to a household. Inviting someone gives them the access their role allows: an owner manages billing and access, a member has full access to pets and records, and a sitter can complete and defer tasks but cannot change anything. Invite people you actually trust with your animal's records, and remove them when that stops being true.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Arkly is free to use for one pet and 3 health checks a month. Arkly Pro removes those limits and adds household sharing, weather-aware rescheduling and the full vet export.

• Pro costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year. The App Store shows you the price in your own currency, and that price is the one that applies.
• The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Billing is handled entirely by Apple. Manage or cancel from Settings on your device, or from Manage subscription in the app. Cancelling anywhere else, including deleting your Arkly account, does not stop Apple billing you.
• Refunds are Apple's to give, not ours. Requests go through the App Store.
• One subscription covers everyone in the household. Nobody pays twice for the same animals.

5. What you upload

Your photographs and records stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to send them to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy so they can be analysed. That is the whole point of the feature, and it is the only thing that permission covers. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.

Only upload material you are entitled to upload.

6. Using it reasonably

Please do not attempt to break into other people's households or records, hammer the API, resell access, feed the health checks images that are not of an animal, or use the app to do anything illegal. We may suspend accounts doing any of that.

7. Availability

We try to keep Arkly running and accurate, but it is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that reminders will always arrive, or that an AI result will be correct. Notifications depend on Apple and on your device settings. Do not rely on Arkly as the only reminder for something medically important.

8. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Arkly is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Arkly, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

This does not, and is not intended to, limit anything relating to the health of your animal, which is precisely why the first section of these terms tells you to call a vet.

9. Ending it

You can stop using Arkly at any time and delete your account from Profile. Deleting starts a 30-day window during which signing back in cancels it; after that the data goes. A household you share carries on without you, and records you added stay with it.

We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use Arkly after that means the new terms apply.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New York, USA, and disputes will be handled by the courts there.
